Chryssa Zizos selected as 2004 COMM Distinguished Alum
EKU's Department of Communication's 2004 distinguished alum is Ms. Chryssa I. Zizos. Ms. Zizos was honored during a presentation on Friday, April 2, 2004, at the annual College of Business and Technology Professional Skills Conference senior recognition luncheon.
The honor is reserved for special alumni who have distinguished themselves in their professions through excellence, dedication, and service.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Business Communication from EKU in 1994.
Ms. Zizos is Founder and President of Live Wire Media Relations in Alexandria, Virginia. She has designed award-winning public relations campaigns for client industries including business-to-business, consumer, government, and grassroots clients ranging from start-up to Fortune 50 companies.
She has also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Communication from American University, is former Editor-in-Chief of Computing Times, and served a Bureau of International Relations congressional appointment in Seoul, South Korea.
Ms. Zizos is active on the Boards of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Community Residences, is an adjunct professor at George Mason University, and is an active member of the National Press Club.
She generously funds scholarship opportunities for EKU journalism students.

The college also honored distinguished seniors for the year as selected by their respective departments within the College of Business and Technology. In addition, recipients of scholarships and awards for the 2003-04 academic year were recognized. Students were honored for outstanding achievement and more than 40 area employers were on hand to engage in networking activities with college graduating seniors.
