CBT Academic Services Manager Recipient of the EARNY Award
Every month a new recipient is chosen to receive the EARNY Award. EARN is an acronym for Eastern Advising and Retention Network which is a group of professionals who meet monthly to give updates and provide professional development for EKU’s academic advisors. Almost a year and a half ago, the EARNY Award was established as recognition of exemplary service on behalf of student success by going above and beyond to make a difference for students at each EARN meeting.
The February 2020 recipient of the EARNY award is Ms. Julie Spease, Manager, Academic Services. Julie has worked for Eastern Kentucky University for 19 years, and in the College of Business and Technology’s Advising Office for 16 of those years. She was selected for this award through a peer-nomination process because of her dedication to not only serving the students she assists daily, but also for her difference-making qualities. EARNY is passed from one winner to the next, to be proudly presented in the recipient’s office.
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Julie Spease for her continued support of EKU students and dedication to success!
