Governor Hosts Cookout Featuring Kentucky Beef

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin showed his support for local beef farmers with a Cookout at the Capitol. 

EKU Farm Director Justin McKinney joined Governor Bevin and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles on May 2nd as they fired up the grill. Kentucky ground beef patties were grilled on the Kentucky State Capitol lawn and then served to capitol goers and invited guests.

At its spring convocation on Friday, May 11th, the College of Business and Technology honored 267 bachelor's degrees, 29 master's degrees, and 28 associate degrees for a total of 324 degree candidates. The ceremony was held in the Alumni Coliseum on EKU's campus at 6:30 pm.

EKU's Charlie Zhang has been inducted into Sigma Lambda Chi International Construction Honor Society. Dr. Charlie Zhang accepted honorary member status at a formal induction ceremony during the 2018 Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) National Conference held recently in Minneapolis.
