Luke Easley, from the EKU Class of 2016, always wanted to be a pilot. As a kid, he mapped out major cities on his family’s Stamping Ground, Kentucky, farm. Countless hours were spent soaring his toy jetliners over a pretend map of the world that spanned several acres.

Senior Already An Accomplished Entrepreneur

For Jade Rice, life as a Colonel is a family affair.

The senior marketing major from Richmond is soon to be a fourth-generation Eastern Kentucky University alumna. Eleven of her family members, including her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, have received degrees from EKU, the earliest graduating in 1948.

Andrew Lynch Named FEI Outstanding Student

Each spring, the Lexington Chapter of Financial Executives Institute (FEI) awards a $500 scholarship to an outstanding accounting student at each of four colleges and universities:  Eastern Kentucky University, Georgetown College, Transylvania University, and the University of Kentucky.  The awards are sponsored by the generous support of Crowe Horwath LLP.

The College of Business and Technology welcomed back retired Colonels with a special luncheon on Friday, April 6, 2018. Held in the Dr. Janna P. Vice Atrium of the Business and Technology Center, the event brought together retired CBT faculty and staff who renewed old friendships and caught up on college happenings.

EKU's Department of Career and Co-op held their annual Awards Ceremony on April 4, 2018 to congratulate those students who excelled in their co-op or internship. Students were nominated by their employers for the awards, and nearly half of the nominated are College of Business and Technology students.

Online BBA Degree Launches This Fall

Eastern Kentucky University will present a new option for online students in Fall 2018. Applications are now being accepted for the bachelor’s of business administration (BBA) degree with a general business concentration.

This year SAM@EKU sent student representative Glenn M. Cramer to attend the 2018 SAM’s International Business Conference in Arlington, Virginia.

Glenn, a Global Supply Chain Management junior from Lexington, presented a student-faculty collaborated research and received positive feedback from Dr. Marcel Minutolo from Robert Morris University.
