RICHMOND — Elizabeth A. Fariello, daughter of Mark and Tina Fariello, became the Eastern Kentucky University Army ROTC program's first female cadet command sergeant major earlier this year.

Dr. Haibo Stephen Yao successfully defended his dissertation in Finance at Mississippi State University this past Tuesday.  Capping off a very productive fall semester, Dr. Yao has also had two working papers accepted for presentation at conferences next year.

Public Relations major Deverin Muff, a member of the Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team, was nominated for the 2014 Allstate Good Works Team. This award recognizes college basketball student-athletes who have positively impacted their community through voluntary efforts. Deverin is a junior at EKU and is a native of Strongsville, Oh.
