Former Colonel Mike DiNunno will play professionally in Bulgaria

Management graduate Mike DiNunno, a former Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball team member, has signed to play professionally for the Bulgarian National Basketball League (NBL). DiNunno is a recent graduate from EKU and is a native of Chicago, Il.

Scholar Athlete: Ashley Edmond

Ashley Edmond (21) earned All-OVC honors for the third straight year

Public Relations major Ashley Edmond, a member of the Eastern Kentucky University women’s volleyball team, was named to the All OVC Conference volleyball team for the third straight year. Edmond, a senior at EKU and native of Michigan City, In., is also a 2012-13 Colonel Scholar recipient. This is the second time Edmond has earned the academic scholarship.

Agriculture student to be featured in "Across Kentucky" radio program on Nov. 25

Chelsey Schlosnagle, recipient of the American Star Award from the National Future Farmers of America, will be the Kentucky Farm Bureau Newsroom Room Across Kentucky radio show feature on November 25. According to producer Mike Feldhaus, the pod cast will go live on their website at about 8 a.m. on Monday morning.

EKU students publish story in The Lane Report

EKU feature writing students Zeynab Day and Kasey Tyring have an article in the November issue of The Lane Report on a Kentucky initiative to raise awareness of domestic violence in the workplace. Adjunct instructor Melissa Newman assisted the students in making contact with the magazine and traveling to meet with sources.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013/National FFA Organization) – FFA members from Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin and Georgia earned the most prestigious honor awarded to a student by the National FFA Organization Saturday at the 86th National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville, Ky.

Miller is a Marketing senior from Bolivar, Pa. Chevillard is a Business and Technology General Studies sophomore and a native of Paris, France.
