Hood-Hopkins Leads Workshop on Marketing to Millennials

Dr. Karen Hood Hopkins, Assistant Professor of Marketing, knows what millennials want. Her expertise has garnered an invitation from Kentucky Farm Bureau to lead a workshop at their annual meeting on Sept 21st at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind.

The summer of 2016 provided a first for the EKU PGA Golf Management Program. Alex Martin, a 2011 graduate, qualified for and competed in the 2016 PGA Professional Championship held at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.

The ROTC Colonel Challenge of 2016 was held at the Challenge Course on August 14-16. New ROTC cadets worked together to complete the ropes course and various exercises, forming new bonds of not only comradery, but also professionalism.

Look for EKU Agriculture at the FFA 2016 National Convention

Eastern Kentucky University's Department of Agriculture programs will be well represented again this year at the 2016 National FFA Career Show and Collegiate Expo. Scheduled for October 19-22, the event will be held in Indianapolis, Ind. And EKU's AG Ambassadors will be there!

EKU Master of Business Administration alum, Ramakrishna (Vasu) Vasudevan, has been appointed to EKU's Board of Regents. Appointed by Gov. Matt Bevin on Fri., Aug. 12, Vasudevan joins Lewis Diaz in new six-year appointments to the Board.

It is definitely something to celebrate! This year marks the golden anniversary of the formation of Eastern Kentucky University - and the birth of CBT's predecessor colleges.

Each summer, Eastern Kentucky University honors faculty and staff for their years of service. Attending the annual luncheon from the College of Business and Technology were Richard Chen and Bruce Pratt.

Others who retired this year from CBT include Darcy Salyers, Stephen Loy, and Jeanette Lainhart.
