Scholar Athlete: Kyle Nowlin

Horticulture major Kyle Nowlin selected 1st Team All-OVC

Eastern Kentucky junior Kyle Nowlin, the nation's leader in home runs, was selected First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference. From Harrison, Oh., Nowlin is a Colonel Scholar and a Horticulture major in EKU's Department of Agriculture.

EKUSports Senior Spotlight: Dani Cant

Senior midfielder and management major Dani Cant played in 16 games last fall. She starred in Eastern's record-breaking win over Alabama A&M, becoming one of only six Colonels ever to score two goals in a single game.

For the first time in many years, colleges hosted individual convocations - in addition to the University's commencement ceremonies. The College of Business and Technology is pleased to share photos from its first Spring Convocation Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2015.

EKU grad Emily Boyer wins Edward R. Murrow Award

Emily Boyer

Emily Boyer, an Eastern Kentucky University graduate, has won a 2015 regional Edward R. Murrow Award for “Feature Reporting.” She worked with Frannie Smith and Rich Egger also of Tri States Public Radio on the feature entitled, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”

CBT Retired Faculty Hosted at Special Luncheon

On May 8th, the Business and Technology Center atrium was transformed into a luncheon setting to welcome faculty who had retired from the College of Business and Technology. At the invitation of new dean Tom Erekson, retired college faculty living in the area were invited to a special luncheon to renew old friendships and become acquainted with the new dean.

The Dr. Glen Kleine Spring 2015 Capstone Presentations were held on May 7, 2015 in the EKU Business and Technology Center Auditorium. The very best College of Business and Technology student projects were presented and evaluated by a panel of judges and cash awards given to the winners.
