As a three-time all-Ohio Valley Conference quarterback on some outstanding teams at Eastern Kentucky University, Jim Guice set individual passing records that stood for many years. His numbers were eventually eclipsed, but stories of his swagger and toughness resonate to this day.

Shearer Receives Top Co-op Honors

An EKU accounting senior has been honored by the University's Center for Career and Cooperative Education.

Sam Shearer, of Winchester, received the Outstanding Co-op Student of the Year award. He was nominated by his employer, Stacey Barrier from EnSite USA, Inc., for doing an outstanding job in his co-op role.

A class of international management students at Eastern Kentucky University are gaining insights into the many difficulties and challenges inherent in doing business across geographic, cultural, institutional and temporal boundaries – by working long distance in four teams with counterparts at a German university.

B&T Scholar Athletes Honored at Annual Student-Athlete Awards Breakfast

College of Business and Technology scholar athletes were among those honored at the annual Student-Athlete Academic Breakfast held April 15th in the Keen Johnson Ballroom. Colonel Scholars with a GPA of 3.0 or above were recognized along with more than 100 members of the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.25 GPA or above).

Katahdin Sheep Coming to Help Clear Invasive Vegetation at Elmwood

The invasive plant species that have taken over much of the lawn at the historic Elmwood Estate, now owned by Eastern Kentucky University, will soon meet their match.

And it won’t involve a drop of herbicide or human sweat.

Shearer selected as 2015 CBT Distinguished Senior

The 2015 College of Business and Technology Distinguished Senior is Mr. Samuel H. Shearer. Each year, the College of Business and Technology selects a Distinguished Senior. This $1,000 award is given annually at the EKU Scholar's Assembly to the student judged by the Colleges’ department chairs to be the overall distinguished senior. 

Business & Technology Spring Convocation set for Friday, May 15

Spring Convocation for EKU's College of Business and Technology has been set for Friday, May 15, 2015. The ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m., will be held in the EKU Center for the Arts. Over 400 master's, bachelor's and associate's degree candidates from the college will be recognized.

EKUSports Senior Spotlight: Mikala Ferguson

Senior midfielder and public relations major Mikala Ferguson appeared in all 19 games this past fall and ranked second on the team at 1,485 minutes played. She notched an assist on a Cassie Smith goal versus OVC foe SIUE on October 19.
