2LT Tyler Fight, a 2012 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and commissioned officer of the EKU ROTC program, recently returned home after graduating from Navy School Explosive Ordnance Disposal in Eglin Air Force Base, Fl. The school was just over nine months long including the nine week long pre-course for Army students in Ft. Lee, Va.

Bunge tapped for Beta Gamma Sigma

Eastern Kentucky University is pleased to announce that Chris Bunge, a junior from Lexington, Ky., has been formally tapped for induction into the Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Bunge is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the PGA Golf Management program at Eastern Kentucky University.

This is the third time this year that the women’s golf team has taken third place. Simmons is a freshman at EKU and a native of Marseille, France.

Applied Engineering Management major Abbey Cvelbar, a member of the Eastern Kentucky University women’s volleyball team, was named a 2012-13 Colonel Scholar recipient. This is the second time Cvelbar has received this academic scholarship. Cvelbar is a junior at EKU and a native of Euclid, Oh.
